RICHLAND, Wash. – Contractors will complete paving work between Trowbridge Boulevard and Ava Way during the week of October 27 as a part of the City of Richland’s project to convert planned intersections into roundabouts.
After the parving work is complete, crews will build a splitter island along Ava Way between Dallas Road and Gateway Avenue, the City said.
Ava Way will be closed between Dallas Road and Gateway Avenue for two to three weeks during the splitter construction, the City said. During that time, traffic will be detoured to Trowbridge Boulevard.
After the splitter is completed, the construction will pause due to anticipated cold temperatures, the City said. Both intersections will be opened at this time.
Construction is planned to continue after that by early spring, 2026.
