VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) - The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is searching for the suspect in a Sunday morning assault. The suspect allegedly attacked a woman who was jogging through the area near Southeast 99th Avenue and Southeast 10th Street.

VPD responded to the usually quiet neighborhood just before 7:30 a.m.

According to VPD, a man on a bike came up behind a woman who was jogging in the area, grabbed her genital area, and then pushed her to the ground. VPD said there was a struggle but the woman was able to fight off her attacker, who then fled on his bike. The woman suffered a bump on her head but received no serious injuries, according to VPD.
