BRAINERD — A residential development agreement for 31 lots, clubhouse and playground was approved in Baxter and a proposal for a drive-in theater in Crow Wing County was denied for a specific location.
The Liberty Village development in Baxter calls for 31 single family units west of Grand Oaks Drive and north of Excelsior Road. The city approved the preliminary and final plat for the Liberty Village, amending the zoning map from low density and medium density residential development to a planned unit development for the vacant property.
Mayor Darrel Olson said the project fits what the city council has been talking about for greater housing density and is on land that has been vacant for a long time.
“It’s a great project,” Olson said.
