FOREST ACRES, S.C. — Trenholm Park, a community staple since the 1960s and home to Trenholm Little League, is set for major improvements aimed at making the park safer and more modern.
City leaders from Forest Acres, Richland County Council, and the Richland County Recreation Commission met this week to finalize plans for the upgrades, which will include new fencing, lighting, ADA-accessible sidewalks, and renovations to the canteen and press box.
Sarah Chaboya, a tennis player who has visited the park for more than four years, said the improvements are much needed. “I definitely think it could use some updates,” Chaboya said. “It’s a good location, but a little rundown, so it’ll be nice to take more pride in our parks and community.”
