Wyndi White and Jerry Gorsuch are getting long-sleeved shirts and pullovers ready as colder temperatures settle into the area. The donated clothing will be given to those experiencing homelessness.

"They find themselves on the street just trying to make it day to day," White said.

The Chattanooga Regional Homeless Coalition recorded nearly 2,000 people experiencing homelessness in their 11 county region in this year's Point in Time Count .

Something this husband and wife team sees first-hand through their non-profit called 'Doing What We Can Homeless Outreach.'

"Because of the rental landscape here in Chattanooga, with the rental prices continuously going up, a lot of people find themselves forced out of their housing. A lot of people just have unfortunate circumstances," White
