GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Students were evacuated after a water-main break at a Montgomery County high school Friday afternoon.

According to Montgomery County Public Schools, the fire department was called to Quince Orchard High School around noon for reports of a water main break impacting the school day.

Sky9 captured video of students filling the school's football field as they were evacuated from the school.

Videos posted on TikTok and Instagram reportedly recorded inside Quince Orchard High School showed water spewing from the ceiling as it pooled onto the floor of a school hallway.

MCPS officials say students were eventually dismissed around 1:30 p.m.

No further details have been released regarding the water-main break.
