WATFORD CITY, ND (KXNET) — An elderly woman crashed into a post office in Watford City today, after reportedly pressing the accelerator by accident instead of the brake pedal when trying to park in front of the building.

According to the Watford City Police Department, Friday afternoon at about 12:46 p.m., a vehicle crash was reported at the U.S. Post Office, located at 1204 4th Ave. NE.

Officers arrived and saw that a Toyota FJ Cruiser had been driven into the front of the building. The driver of the car, an elderly woman, was not injured.

The woman told officers she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal.
