The Frederick City Council signaled its support Thursday for Hood College’s proposal to build a NCAA Division III baseball field at Westside Regional Park.

Under the non-binding letter of intent , Hood College would fund the complete construction of the facility before turning it over to the city on a 50-year lease at a nominal cost of $1 per year.
