MARION, Wis. (WBAY) - A small community is receiving recognition in a big way.

Marion-based manufacturer 1000 Island Airboats is this year’s winner of the “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” contest.

It’s been a whirlwind 24 hours for the company, as they’re still taking in the excitement of being named the coolest thing made in Wisconsin.

Getting a firsthand look at where the airboats are built is just as impressive.
