AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — On Thursday, an Amarillo Federal Judge dismissed two court motions filed by Congressman Ronny Jackson, (R-13), in reference to a vote taking place to redraw congressional lines in California.

Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk dismissed the motions filed by Jackson against California leaders over their redistricting election that is set to take place in early November. Early voting began Tuesday.

In August, California's Governor, Gavin Newsom, signed a state bill called the "Election Rigging Response Act," that would redraw California's congressional lines to add as many as five additional Democratic seats to its U.S. House delegation, according to a previous report on Myhighplains.com.
