CLYDE BULLEN needed to make sure the liquor commission would allow him to open a dessert and wine bar in Manchester before he went for it. Typically, a bar would need to offer a few dishes in order to serve alcohol.
Turns out cupcakes, brownies and other sweets also do the trick.
Clyde’s Dessert & Wine Bar opened earlier this month next to Harpoon Brewing at Queen City Center , a new mixed-use commercial development off Canal Street. The interior is splashed with bright pink to match the company’s four food trucks, which have become a staple at events across New England. Bullen always dons a pink hat, chef’s jacket and even Nike sneaks highlighting the brand’s color.
