JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — Power is restored after more than 9,000 customers were without electricity in Jefferson Parish Friday night, according to Entergy's outage map.

At one point, the map showed 9,354 customers were impacted by the outage. Residents living in Estelle, Jean Lafitte and Barataria were affected.

Entergy's map showed the outage began around 8:30 p.m.

Power was expected to be restore by 11 p.m.

"We are aware of the outage in Jefferson Parish impacting approximately 9,000 customers. Crews are on the scene now working to make repairs as quickly and safely as possible," an Entergy spokesperson said in a statement to WWL.
