NEW ORLEANS — From crater-sized potholes to streets that feel more like obstacle courses, New Orleans drivers say the city’s roads are in rough shape, and things could soon get worse. A could mean slower road repairs, fewer city services, and even more frustration for residents already feeling the bumps every time they drive.
One of those bumpy streets was highlighted in a TikTok video recently. The potholed street in Gentilly recently went viral after the woman who posted it called it “the worst street in New Orleans.”
But many residents disagreed, saying there are plenty of streets just as bad — if not worse. So, we set out to find them.
Our drive began in Algiers, where we found gravel-filled lumps at Odeon and Magellan and a particularly rough stretch along River Oaks Drive.
