WASHINGTON — A $680 million prize was up for grabs on Friday night's drawing with the ninth-largest jackpot in the game's history.

It was not immediately known whether someone had won the jackpot.

The grand prize grew after failed to produce a jackpot winner.

If there are no grand prize winners on Friday, it would become the 35th consecutive drawing without a jackpot winner since the last big win of $348 million in Virginia on June 27. The growing prize now ranks as the ninth largest in Mega Millions history since the game launched in 2002.
