Rob Edwards has great admiration for his opposite number on Saturday Phil Parkinson, after his role in guiding Wrexham on an historic rise.
Wrexham are the first club ever to win three consecutive promotions to the Championship, with Stockton-raised Parkinson in charge of all three. It’s been quite literally a Hollywood story for the North Wales outfit, who have overseen rapid growth since a takeover from acting superstars Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
The Wrexham owners aren’t expected to be at the Riverside on Saturday, but Edwards is more than aware of the added attention that comes with Wrexham now, and admits he’s not so sure how he’d handle it - while being deliberately careful of his answer just in case Steve Gibson has any fly-on-the-wall Boro documentaries planned!
