SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Sioux City Farmers Market concluded its 16th season Saturday after drawing hundreds of shoppers since May.

The market, located in the Tyson Event Center parking lot, featured dozens of vendors selling locally grown produce, baked goods, and crafts. Live music accompanied the shopping experience throughout the season.

“I love hearing people talk about how they make this their tradition,” said market manager Melissa Gritzmaker.

Some patrons told KTIV they were stocking up on their favorites as the market closed for the season.

The market manager said she enjoys seeing how many people support the small businesses each week. She hinted at new additions for next year that bring a little ‘spice’.
