WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Airports in North Dakota set a new monthly record for boardings last month.

The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission says more than 103 thousand people flew out of the eight commercial airports in September.

Executive Director Kyle Wanner says it’s the first time the state saw more than 100,000 passengers in September.

Minot had a ten percent increase in boardings compared to September 2024.

Year-to-date, more than 993,000 people have boarded a plane in the state.
