KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Kingston Library will remain at its temporary location, in the Cioni Building at 61 Crown St in Uptown, for a few months longer.
Kingston Library Director Margie Menard told the Freeman on Thursday, Oct. 23, that the library now hopes to move back to its permanent location at 55 Franklin St. in Midtown in the spring. She added the library had originally hoped to return there by the end of this year after a $14 million multi-year renovation. The delay has led the project to go slightly over budget, but the difference will be made up by grants and private donations, she said.
“We needed a little more time to do what we needed to move back,” she said.
