MONTGOMERY, N.Y. — There will be no playoffs for Kingston High’s football team again this season after the Tigers were eliminated with a 20-14 loss at Valley Central on Friday, Oct. 24.

The Tigers dropped their fifth straight to fall to 0-4 in Section 9, Class AA and 1-7 overall with one league game remaining at Middletown on Friday, Oct. 31.

Kingston’s last playoff appearance came 20 years ago when it lost to Monroe-Woodbury 34-0 in 2005 at Dietz Stadium.

Valley Central (2-3 Class AA, 2-6 overall) got one of the last two remaining playoff spots with the victory. It will be the first playoff appearance for Valley Central in 10 years.
