ATLANTA — A man is now under arrest for shooting a juvenile who broke into his vehicle, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Officers say they received a call around 2:20 a.m. regarding a person shot at 3390 Fairburn Road SW. When they arrived, they found a male juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

According to investigations, the juvenile admitted to being shot after breaking into a vehicle and being confronted by the owner. He was taken to Arthur M. Blank Children's Hospital for treatment.

The owner, 51-year-old Yoshay Carter, was arrested and taken to the Fulton County Jail and charged with aggravated assault.
