MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -- A 36-year-old man is in jail on multiple felony charges following a Friday morning barricade situation on Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach.

Jail records show that Eric William Bostic is charged with seven counts of attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault and battery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Bostic was given a $5,000 bond on the possession charge and denied bond on the other. He's next due in court Dec. 19, according to records.

Police responded Friday morning to the 1500 block of Highway 15 for a reported disturbance, saying a person had barricaded themselves inside a home after officers arrived.

By mid-afternoon, the scene had been cleared but officers confirmed shots were fired at the residence.
