EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Sometimes, it takes a little bit of time to warm up to a new piece of gear.
It may not be your cup of tea initially but it ends up winning you over when you give it a fair try.
Such is the case with the Artisan Cutlery Simoon. Was lukewarm to it at best when I first saw this pocket knife but ended up liking it.
The first thing you notice about this knife is its blade.
Artisan Cutlery calls it a Bowie blade, though some people have called it a cutlass or a scimitar – basically a mini-sword.
It is aggressive. Mini-sword is a good way to describe it. Kind of reminds me of a pocket version of a sword you would have seen in an old Ray Harryhausen movie like “Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.”
