MADISON, (WKOW) — Wisconsin Vintage Fest drew visitors to Monona Terrace, making it the state's largest vintage shopping market.

Organizer Tony Santos expressed surprise at the turnout.

“We’ve had almost 100 vendors today,” Santos said. “Right at open, at 11 a.m., we had probably 3,000 people waiting to get inside. It’s been a great day.”

The event, which started in August 2023, has quickly gained popularity for sustainable and secondhand shopping.

“Today, we’re shopping small, we’re shopping sustainably, we’re shopping secondhand,” Santos said.

“Everything here has been saved from a landfill and repurposed into someone’s new life.” This marked the festival's third time at Monona Terrace, a venue Santos favors. “I love being right on the water,” he said.
