MADISON (WKOW) — This weekend, young equestrians from all over Wisconsin gathered for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Horsemanship Association (WIHA) State Finals.
Riders showcased their skills, teamwork, and passion for the sport. Natalie Schuler, coach of the Chippewa Falls High School equestrian team, emphasized the significance of the event.
“We’re competing for Chippewa Falls High School in Division A against five other amazing teams from across the state,” Schuler said.
“There are 19 different events at this competition, ranging from jumping to ranch riding and bareback events—there’s a lot of cool things to see.” Schuler has been part of the Chippewa Falls team for nearly 15 years.
“This is my third year coaching, but I was part of the team for seven years before that,” she said.
