OMAHA, Neb. —

Creighton hosted its annual Dance Marathon, celebrating a year of fundraising for the Hematology and Oncology Unit at Children's Nebraska. The event invited the community and Children's Miracle Network families to campus for dancing, food, and games.

The student-led gathering is one of over 400 colleges participating in Miracle Network Dance Marathons across the country.

Creighton Dance Marathon's executive director, a senior at Creighton, Ella Scott, says this event is especially close to her heart as her brother was diagnosed with leukemia when she was first headed off to college.

Scott said, "I craved some kind of connection to him when I came to college, so I thought this was a great way to make an impact on my new community."
