STOREY COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wayne Wofford and booked him into its detention center for possession of a stolen truck, according to a Saturday, Oct. 25, Facebook post said.

The incident began on Wednesday, Oct. 8, when a 1955 Ford truck and Polaris quad were stolen from a Virginia City house of a recently deceased resident.

The Storey County Sheriff’s Office detectives did surveillance then began tracking the suspect’s recent locations.

On Friday, Oct. 24, they found the truck inside a warehouse near Six Mile Canyon Road in Lyon County, the post said.

In conjunction with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, they recovered the truck.

The Ford is in storage until family members can take possession.
