SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Sioux City Police Department joined in on a national day to take back unused prescription drugs Saturday, Oct. 25.

The event, which was held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., was a part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s mission to safely dispose of unused medications and keep them out of the wrong hands.

Sioux City Police officers were present at two locations where people could safely and anonymously dispose of their prescriptions. The locations included the Hy-Vee on Hamilton Boulevard and Drilling Pharmacy.
