Many cheerleading squads from across Central New York use their platform not only to display their talent but also to show their support for the many causes important to them.

At Saturday’s annual Scarefest Gameday Cheer competition, Sandy Creek cheerleaders sported their usual blue and black uniforms. But what stood out were the bright pink bows in their hair. They wore them in recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness month.
