Seattle police are investigating a stabbing of a 57-year-old man in the University District this evening.

At about 5:00 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a stabbing near the 4700 block of Brooklyn Avenue Northeast. There, police found a man suffering from a stab wound to the back. Officers provided him with emergency medical aid until relieved by the Seattle Fire Department (SFD).

SFD continued treating the victim and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious, but stable condition. His are injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
