Seattle police detectives are investigating a shooting in the Columbia City neighborhood last night.
On Oct. 26, at 10:23 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting in a gas station parking lot at 5700 Martin Luther King Jr. Way South (MLK). There, officers found multiple shell casings and bullet damage to a building across the street.
While investigating, a man arrived at Harborview Medical Center (HMC) about ten minutes later, via private vehicle, in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Doctors stabilized the victim and upgraded his condition to serious.
Detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) responded to the MLK gas station to help process the scene. Detectives also responded to HMC for interviews. This is an open and active investigati
