After the game, head coach Sherrone Moore and his players celebrated in the locker room at Spartan Stadium, the program’s fourth straight win over the Spartans dating back to 2022. It marks Michigan’s longest winning streak over MSU since 2002 to ’07, when the Wolverines won six in a row.
“It means everything,” Moore said. “We talked ad nauseam about how important this game was throughout the week. We talked about it after the game against Washington, and then on Tuesday we talked about the history of the rivalry (and) what it means to win this game for the state, the city, the records.”
