William & Mary’s second-half comebacks had defined much of its season, but the rally fell short on Saturday as the Tribe dropped a 34–24 decision to New Hampshire at Wildcat Stadium.

After erasing halftime deficits in three of its four wins this year, W&M (4–4, 3–2 CAA) found itself within one score midway through the fourth quarter. A 27-yard field goal by Keegan Shackford trimmed the margin to 31–24 with 12:38 remaining, but UNH (5–4, 3–2) responded with a field goal of its own and kept the Tribe off the board for the rest of the game.

Quarterback Tyler Hughes provided nearly all of the Tribe’s scoring, rushing for three touchdowns and 74 yards on 14 carries while completing 19 of 24 passes for 204 yards. Deven Thompson added two receptions for 83 yards, and Rashad Raymond contributed
