Michael Faulkner played golf for 23 years until he couldn’t.

In 2021, Mr. Faulkner had just left his job as a general manager with Aaron’s to become a branch banker with PNC Bank, when he had a stroke.

“The stroke left me with paralysis of my left arm,” he said. “I thought I had lost the ability to play golf.”

Mr. Faulkner, now the navigator and stroke group coordinator for the Ability Center, is golfing again, something he believes has helped him immensely.

“I now use a special brace from England to help me hold onto a club,” he said. “This has been my first year back golfing and I could not be happier.”

He wants to help others find the same rejuvenation.
