FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Browns backup quarterback Shedeur Sanders will have to wait a few weeks to be one snap away again.
Sanders, who’s served as the backup to Dillon Gabriel the past three weeks, is inactive for the Patriots game with back tightness. He’ll now have another week to heal through the bye, and likely return as QB2 Nov. 9 in New York vs. the Jets.
Sanders woke up on Saturday morning with the sore back, and was added to the Browns injury report as questionable for today’s game against the Patriots. He made the trip here because it was going to come down to a gametime decision.
