Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields helped the New York Jets offense go off for over 500 yards to help lead them to their first win of the season over the Cincinnati Bengals 39-38.
The Jets pulled off a ferocious late comeback after being down two touchdowns to pull out a 39-38 win, with this being the first game in Fields’ career that he has won as a starter when the opposing offense scored 21 or more points.
Fields completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 244 passing yards and a touchdown through the air while adding 11 rushes for 31 yards on the ground.
It came the same week that owner Woody Johnson publicly declared that he felt Fields was the problem and not head coach Aaron Glenn.
