WASHINGTON — A man has been hospitalized after being injured in a fire.
On Sunday, DC Fire responded to the 600 block of Kennedy Street, Northwest, around 4:30 p.m.
Few details are known at this time. Here's what we do know: the fire was contained to a basement apartment in a 3-story building. It is unclear how many people live in the apartment; no other displacements have been reported at this time, according to DC Fire.
One man was rescued by crews and taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
The cause of the fire has not been released at this time.
