LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Carol Davis, the mother of Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis and the wife of late Raiders owner Al Davis, passed away Friday afternoon at the age of 93, the organization announced Sunday.
Sunday afternoon, Mark Davis lit the Al Davis Memorial Torch at Allegiant Stadium in honor of his mother, who was known as the "First Lady of Raider Nation."
"Her strength and resilience, although not seen by the masses, were always on display to those who were fortunate to be in her presence. She was a strong woman who exuded a compassionate and loving side," the organization said in a statement Sunday.
Carol married Al Davis in 1954 and was a part of the Raiders organization ever since Al was hired as coach in 1963 and eventually became owner. The Raiders won three Super Bowl tit
