LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is providing emergency assistance to 21 people who were displaced by a Las Vegas condominium fire late Saturday night.

The fire broke out around 11 p.m. on Saturday in the attic and roof of a 16-unit condominium building at Meadows Condominiums, located at 230 Mission Catalina Lane near Decatur Boulevard and Alta Drive.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire however, all of the units were evacuated due to safety concerns as the fire caused significant water and smoke damage throughout the building, according to the Red Cross. Power was shut off to all 16 units as well.

Red Cross volunteers were called to the scene around 2 a.m. Sunday to help those who were displaced. In total, the Red Cross provided support to 10 families,
