BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - All this rain, but how is it impacting our drought conditions? It’s been months since our last consistent rainfall and it has put the state in a moderate to severe drought.
Although a gloomy, rainy Sunday seemed like it could help, it’s not enough rain to end the drought. However, it may keep things from getting worse and could be bringing some winds of change with it.
WBRC First Alert meteorologists JP Dice tell us this is the start of a new pattern where we will see some regularly occurring rain; and we’ll need about a week of that to fully bring us out of the drought.
