VANCOUVER, Wash. — Vancouver police are investigating an assault on a woman who was jogging Sunday morning in the city’s 1100 block of Southeast 99th Avenue.
According to a news release from the Vancouver Police Department, the incident took place around 7:16 a.m. when a man riding a bike approached the woman from behind, grabbed her genital area, and pushed her to the ground. During the struggle, the woman hit her head but was able to fight off the attacker, who then rode away. She suffered only a minor bump on her head, and no other serious injuries were reported. Authorities say the attack appears to be random.
Police say a nearby security camera captured an image of the suspect. He is described as a younger white male, in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tal
