PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTAJ) — A worker is in critical condition after falling from the main scoreboard at Acrisure Stadium Saturday night while preparing for the Sunday Night Football game.

According to our media partners at CBS News Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Public Safety, emergency crews responded to the stadium around 10 p.m. after reports that a crew member had fallen about 50 feet onto a catwalk area.

Rescue medics and firefighters used a rope system to reach and stabilize the man before lowering him to an ambulance. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with severe injuries to his lower body, officials said.
