BOWLING GREEN, Mo. -- The Bowling Green Bobcats cross country team has been getting better and better as the season has progressed.

Last Saturday, the Bobcats won the EMO Conference title and Friday they took second in their home meet, only behind a state ranked Centralia team.

“We ran out of our minds tonight and got second”, said Bobcats head coach Matt Chance. “This was a great meet for our team. We have made positive strides the past 3 weeks.”

Brendan Finnegan led the charge by finishing 16th in 17:31.37. The other four Bobcats, Dallas Bair, Nathan Schellman, Logan Pontius, and Eamon Finnegan all ran PRs on the nights to put Bowling Green in a great position.

Hannibal finished third as Rhett Hayes continued his great season by finishing seventh in 16:40.05. Junior Camden Gheens ran
