MACEDONIA, Ohio — The Macedonia Fire Department is mourning the loss of Lisa Morris, the wife of FireMedic Dave Morris, after a deadly crash in West Virginia.

In a statement shared on Facebook, fire chief Brian Ripley said Lisa Morris died Friday evening in a motor vehicle accident while on an ATV trip. Dave Morris suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and has since been transferred to a Cleveland hospital for treatment.

“Dave is a valued and respected member of the Macedonia Fire Department, known for his dedication, professionalism, and kindness. We ask everyone to keep Dave and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking time," Ripley said in the statement.

No additional details about the crash have been released.
