AKRON, Ohio — The in Akron and Cleveland has dipped slightly this week, according to GasBuddy’s latest data.

Drivers in Cleveland are now paying an average of $2.94 per gallon, a decrease of 1.4 cents from last week. Despite the small drop, prices are 8.1 cents higher than a year ago and 2.0 cents higher than a month ago, GasBuddy reports.

In Akron, the average price fell more noticeably, down 12.2 cents to $2.85 per gallon.

The national average for gasoline rose 2.5 cents this week to $3.00 per gallon. That is 10.8 cents lower than a month ago and 7.4 cents cheaper than a year ago. Diesel also increased, up 4.7 cents per gallon to $3.638.
