PITTSBURG, Penn. (WMTV) -Janesville Craig High School received a primetime shoutout on national television Sunday night on WMTV. Former Badger football player Keeanu Benton was in the starting lineup for the Pittsburgh Steelers defense against the Green Bay Packers.
In the player introductions in the first quarter, Benton said his name and then “Janesville Craig High School”.
Benton grew up in Janesville and played for the Craig football team. He was also a two-time state runner-up wrestler.
Benton played four seasons for UW from 2019-2022. He earned nine sacks in his collegiate career and was drafted 49th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Steelers.
