ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - The Roanoke Police Department identified the vehicle and license plate involved in a hit and run that left a toddler injured back on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Using Flock camera technology, investigators identified the suspect vehicle as a black 2015 Audi sedan with Virginia license plate SZP-8886. The vehicle is described as having damage on the front passenger side from the incident; the photo was taken beforehand, according to police.

Around 7:18 p.m. on October 18, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Rugby Blvd. and 12thSt. NW for the report of a hit and run involving an injured toddler. The toddler was sent to a nearby hospital and is expected to be okay, according RPD.
