Two people suspected in a Uniontown murder were caught in Huntsville on Friday, according to District Attorney Robert H. Turner Jr., of Alabama’s 4th Judicial Circuit.

Turner announced Saturday the arrests of Martrell Carlisle and Jayelynn Cole, who are both accused of killing 21-year-old Shermain Cain back on Oct. 12.

Carlisle and Cole were apprehended without incident in Huntsville following a multi-agency investigation.

Both are being held at the Madison County Jail pending transfer to Perry County, where the DA says they will each face two counts of capital murder.

The Uniontown Police Department, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and the United States Marshals Service worked collaboratively to bring the suspects into custody.
