A 41-year-old man is facing nearly 10 charges after a serious crash in east London early Saturday turned fatal.

A 22-year-old male passenger, originally taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the collision, has died, police said Monday.

Emergency crews responded about 3:30 a.m. Saturday to the two-vehicle collision on Trafalgar Street, west of Clarke Road. Seven occupants of the two vehicles were taken to hospital with injuries, police said.

Three people had life-threatening injuries, four had minor injuries and another vehicle occupant wasn’t hurt, police said over the weekend.
