BAY COUNTY, MI – Road closures are scheduled on portions of I-75 in Bay County this week to allow for sign work on the highway.

Two lanes of northbound I-75 north of US-10 near Bay City will close at 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, and are expected to reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). The sign work will take place along a roughly one mile stretch of the highway.

Intermittent rolling closures may also be implemented in the area around midnight Tuesday to allow for the removal of an overhead truss sign.

The sign work is expected to increase roadway safety on I-75, according to MDOT.

The work is part of a $5.3 million project that includes upgrades to the signs, overhead sign structures, guardrails and delineators along I-75.
