A Manchester man was arrested after allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 293 and the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford early Sunday morning.
New Hampshire State Police got reports of a vehicle heading southbound in the northbound lanes near Exit 5 on I-293 at about 1:07 a.m.
Trooper Madelynn Theve found a silver 2012 Honda Civic, still traveling the wrong way, on the turnpike in Bedford.
The driver of the Civic, identified as Benjamin Smith, 25, of Manchester, was taken into custody and charged with reckless conduct – deadly weapon, and driving while intoxicated.
Smith is scheduled to appear in Merrimack District Court in early November.
